How to Choose a Trading Signal Provider: Evidence Checklist

Evaluate crypto and forex signal providers with an evidence checklist covering source identity, sample dates, verification, result units and missing outcomes.

Start with the market and delivery platform

Decide whether you need crypto or forex coverage and whether Telegram delivery is essential. A broad public-provider directory is useful for comparing authors across sources; a Telegram-only page answers a narrower question about channel evidence. Check the instruments in the source posts before assigning a specialization such as Bitcoin, scalping, spot or futures. Marketing labels alone are insufficient.

Check the original source and trade definition

Open the source address from the profile and inspect a concrete signal. The instrument, direction, entry and exit conditions should be clear enough to evaluate without hindsight. A renamed channel, copied username or promotional screenshot should not replace the original evidence. Public availability and source matching are required by the Telegram comparison; they are not a certification of the operator identity.

Compare track records with their denominators

Read the number of closed outcomes and the first and last sample dates beside the win rate. Open trades are not completed wins. Check whether duplicate signals or unsupported instruments were excluded consistently. Compare averages in the same units, and distinguish a sum of individual price outcomes from compounded portfolio performance. Missing data is unknown evidence, not a measured zero.

Understand what verification does and does not cover

A source and price-history check can establish a limited historical outcome under a stated rule. It does not establish that every subscriber entered at that price, that the record captures every message, or that leverage, fees and slippage are included. TraderStat uses eligible first-target price verification for its Telegram comparison. The methodology and original evidence links let you inspect that scope.

Shortlist providers without overreading a rank

Use the rank as a disclosed ordering of the available sample, then inspect the underlying record. A smaller checked sample can be researched without being promoted into the ranked group. Negative outcomes should remain visible under the same rules as positive outcomes. Compare free and paid histories independently and re-evaluate the evidence when market conditions or the provider publishing pattern change.
